Children travelled from all over the country, many coming out of their villages for the first time, to share their lives and learn from their counterprats from the cities and other states of India.

Over 500 children from 21 states of India came together with their counterparts from 18 urban schools for a one on one interaction in Delhi. Being held in Bal Bhawan (22nd to 24th April) children from many prestigious schools like Modern school, DPS, Heritage school, Somerville, St. Mary's, Ryan International, Cambridge, Bal Bharti etc. joined their rural friends from Kerela, Bihar, M.P, U.P, Assam, West Bengal etc. to exchange notes about life, education & schooling in rural and urban India.

When urban and rural children got talking, there weren't differences; only curiosity about each other's lives.

Children from the villages throughly enjoying all the exposure & experineces; having a joy ride in rail museum, sitting down for a five star meal etc.

Children from far flung parts of India made confident and entertaining cultural presentations to an audiences of over 500 people including children, teachers, volunteers etc.

Bal Sabha on the last day was an open forum where children from both ends spoke freely and openly about their impressions about each other, their percpetions of village problems etc.
