Residential Areas-
- Look for a prominent covered space in your area.
- Take the required permission for doing a camp
- Decide a date and number of days for which you want to hold the camp.
- For distributing leaflets/posters (provided by GOONJ), you can involve the local newspaper vendor or your colony security guards.
- Giving people advance information about the camp will give them time to take out their stuff.
- Involve like-minded people; Ladies Club, Mahila Samities, Senior Citizens Forum to spread awareness. The local cable TV network/ local shopkeepers can be approached to publicize about the camp.
- Maintain a database of people who contribute material and forward it to GOONJ (mailgoonj@gmail.com). This helps us in providing feedback to people.
- For any monetary contributions; Please send us a Cheque/DD in the name of GOONJ to the GOONJ Head office – J-93, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi or it can be given at an authorized GOONJ collection center against official receipt. For receipt purpose we will be requiring- Full name, address, pan number, contact telephone no/ email id & amount contributed.
- As soon as possible reach this material to a GOONJ authorized
collection Center in your city, definitely before 10th
Oct. Your support in transporting the material to
the city hub will be a great support to the initiative as GOONJ
is working on this campaign without any major financial support
from anywhere.
PLEASE NOTE - Formal communication and OK from GOONJ.. is required to organise a camp.
CORPORATE HOUSES/OFFICES/Schools/Colleges
- Once you have decided the collection camp dates, inform people ahead of time to give them reasonable time to take out their stuff.
- GOONJ will give required amount of publicity material to help you publise the campaign. Do use the ‘power of word of mouth’, apart from sending e-mails/newsletters/ internal communication network to create bigger ripple effect.
- Apart from posters & leaflets, GOONJ will also share a brief introductory note to send out to all your target audiences.
- Set up a collection cum information desk.
- An enthusiastic team of in house volunteers, shall take the lead in sharing the basic information about how, where & whom receive material.
- Identify one main contact person, who will be interacting with GOONJ.
- As soon as possible reach this material to a GOONJ authorized collection Center in your city, definitely before 15th Oct. GOONJ is working on this campaign without any major financial support from anywhere. Your support in transporting the material to the city hub will be a great support to the initiative..
