Ice-Breaking
session on day one, to get the children from different parts
of India, open up to each other.

Children
serving food to everyone with a sense of sharing & camaraderie.

1st day
of the interface event. Started with a small introduction
about GOONJ.. by Anshu K. Gupta
( Founder- Director GOONJ..). Aimed at getting the rural and
urban kids to open up to each other in an informal and friendly
atmosphere, where all the participants shared their experiences,
views & life styles.

A street play on waste management, by a theatre group "Steps
for Change" involved both the segments in understanding
the lack of resources v/s widening wastage |

"Breaking
the barrier of language, caste, creed & community " -
Kids were divided into different groups
containing both rural and urban children.
They found innovative ways to communicate on a one-to-one basis.

In
groups, urban & rural faculties also took interest with kids
& helped them in developing a friendly atmosphere.

Conducted
a Bal Sabha on the present scenario of education system.
A turbulent wave among kids came up with lot of suggestions
& voiced their concerns towards the existing practices.

Cracking
jokes, recollecting memories of their new friends,
kids at community center having fun together
after the end of the first day of the event |

Kaliraj’s
lifetime memorable performance!!!
Accompanied with his classmate ( Ashok), this performance was
appreciated by everyone out there
& surprised everyone with his hidden talent.
Kaliraj, a Quari worker from Tamil Nadu, passionate about dancing
since childhood.
Despite earning wages & learning books,
he’s able to give sufficient time for his passion.
