Over 400 participants from different parts of India, came together for a unique experience.



Urban & rural school children came together to form lasting friendships



Fusion of two different ends of India, came together for sharing & learning.

All the hard work and research in presenting a realistic picture of rural India and its issues, got the trophies and appreciation for the winning teams. 3rd Prize- Bharati Vidya Niektan, Pushp Vihar


A Bihu dance performed by participants from Assam was a major hit with the audience.


Seeking solutions; where urban children from 23 school presented their understanding of rural issues through skits, posters, prop etc.


GOONJ’s new section ‘seeking solutions’ met its objective, which provoked urban school children to think & resent rural problem & come out with a possible. Children used traditional channel like gestures, charts, propos etc.

All the hard work and research in presenting a realistic picture of rural India and its issues, got the trophies and appreciation for the winning teams. 3rd Prize- Bharati Vidya Niektan, Pushp Vihar


1st Prize- Chiranjeev Bharati School, Gurgaon

2nd Prize- Somerville School, Vasundhara Enclave


Children & representatives from rural partner groups who were also a part of judging team analyze the presentations with other judges

Children’s gave their response and feedback creatively in the form of poetry, creative drawing, slogans. Some of the thought provoking entries were displayed for the participants


Grassroots group representative spoke to urban children about the S2S work in the far flung villages & the impact of their ongoing contribution


Lunch time at the event was a beautiful display of voluntrya efforts. Over 400 participants were fed in a span of 1 hour by forming human chain, ensuring a smooth operation.


Urban children look through the presentations put up by rural grassroots groups, about realities of rural India and the impact of S2S programme.

Rural group representatives visited Goonj’s workshop & stores to understand the process of sorting, packing, napkin making & school bag making.
